Software Engineer - Full Stack

The ideal candidate would have experience in building high quality customer facing APIs and front-end web development, with a proven ability in developing and maintaining responsive web applications.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product team to understand requirements and build customer facing Portal and high quality backend APIs.
  • Own operation of services: measuring performance, and being responsive to production issues.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and other technical discussions.

 

Required Skills and/or Experience

  • Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code in microservice environments.
  • Three (3) years experience in any of Java, Javascript, Golangor Python programming languages are preferred.
  • Good REST API design sensibilities.
  • Good Linux skills.
  • Experience in Git as source code management system.
  • Familiarity in at least one of the relational database systems (Postgres or MySQL)
  • Familiarity in building web applications using modern Javascript framework and tooling such as AngularJS 2, Node JS, Webpack and Grunt.
  • Experience working with Agile, Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, TDD.

Preferred Skills and/or Experience:

  • Familiarity with GCP, AWS or other cloud computing platforms.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI specification.
  • Familiarity with geo-spatial data, satellite imagery, and remote sensing is a plus.
