Position Summary:

This position will work closely with the engineering team to build high quality software by introducing test strategies and an automation test framework for the front end applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1.  45%
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive automation test suite for existing features in the Aerial dData Portal and services platforms.
  • Perform integration, functional, and regression testing using manual (where required) and automated methods.

  • Identify, isolate, and document defects clearly and concisely.
  • Evaluate new features and devise test approaches and alternative solutions.
  1. 10 %
  • Actively participate in requirements gathering, planning, and daily stand-up meetings.
  • Engage with the engineering team to define and develop best practices for test automation

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field; or combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years' experience in the following:
    •  applications development and/or software automation
    • automated testing types, tools and techniques
    • design and development of automation frameworks and automation testing strategies
    • continuous integration tools and processes
    • working in an Agile environment
  • Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, etc.
  • Source Code Management (Github or other).
  • Preferred
    • Unit, Functional, Integration, End to End Testing
    • Protractor
    • Experience working in a startup environment
    • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google, etc.
    • Experience with testing mapping and charting applications
    • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Communication Skills:

  • Strong command of English, written and verbal.

Travel Required:

  • 10% Domestic and International

Citizenship:

  • Able to work in the US without sponsorship. US Citizenship or Green Card required.

 Decision Making, Complexity:

  • Work independently and collaboratively to analyze and establish the best automated and manual test strategy for front end applications. Complexity will vary from mid to high.
